State Head – Business Loan

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Ownership & P&L Management:

Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Business Loans vertical.
Own the P&L; manage top-line growth, cost efficiency, and profitability.
Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency, and return metrics.

Product & Market Development:

Design loan products tailored for MSMEs, SMEs, professionals, and other B2B segments.
Continuously improve the offering based on market feedback, credit performance, and competitor benchmarking.
Collaborate with tech/product teams to digitize journeys and ensure seamless user experiences.

Sales & Channel Growth:
Drive customer acquisition through both digital and partnership-led channels.
Build distribution capabilities (DSAs, fintech partnerships, aggregators, NBFC co-lending, etc.)
Expand market reach and geographical penetration.

Credit, Risk & Compliance:
Define underwriting policies in collaboration with the credit and risk teams.
Maintain portfolio quality with robust risk management practices.
Ensure regulatory and policy compliance (RBI norms, KYC/AML, etc.)

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration:
Build and manage high-performing cross-functional teams (sales, product, ops, credit).
Coordinate with data science, technology, legal, and operations teams for execution.
Represent the business line in internal forums and leadership reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:
Proven track record of scaling business lines in fintechs, banks, or NBFCs.
Strong analytical mindset with understanding of credit and financial metrics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience:
Deep understanding of customer behavior in small business lending.
